I believe the trick is to slowly inch away at your goal just add 40 hp at a time and you'll have new excitement more often instead making a big jump and getting bored with it right away. As for the stock "lag" if you want to call it that.... I made a discovery yesterday, my boost controller was set at exactly the stock wastegate opening pressure (6psi), which is what I thought it should be so I found out that I could basically tune the crack open pressure to hold the wastgates completely shut for longer- I set it at 6.9 psi. Now the power on the butt dyno feels like it comes on about 500 rpm sooner than before... maybe what you need right now is a EBC?
